COVID-19 & Productivity

The control freak is out of control.

By no personal choice of course. Everything that has gone down universally in the last eight months was simultaneously a dream and a nightmare, all out of our immediate control. All out of my control.

There have been major events in our society which has caused irrevocable shifts in our "normal" lives; events such as the COVID-19 pandemic, the onslaught of murders of black men and women by our police and the subsequent protests, and the tenuous presidency. These shifts can be observed in our social interactions, social activities, relationships, parenting, careers, finances, hobbies, education, diet, fitness, mental health, routine, and many others. In my life, there one area that has been more difficult than the rest: productivity.

A stoner review #2 // strawberry dosi (ft. Bodhi High)

Here's a special treat! I'm starting a new series on my blog in which I review cannabis strains including concentrates, flower, and edibles (occasionally).

As a productive stoner, it is imperative that one is aware of how certain strains effect the body and mind. For myself, I have been prioritizing strains and dosages that energize, increase motivation and focus, facilitate productivity, and decrease symptoms of depression and anxiety.

Keeping a record of what I smoke and its effects will aid in selecting the best strain for my body and mind in the future.

Welcome back to my blog my fellow stoners!

It has been almost a year since my last post. My last post was in September of 2019. So much has changed in my life and in our society, and yet, so much has stayed the same. This post is to provide an update of where I've been and how I will be moving forward with this blog and my many other stoner ventures across social media.

As someone who suffers from clinical depression, it can be extremely hard to stay motivated in anything I do for a long period of time. The thoughts and emotions running through my mind can be debilitating, chaining me down to my bed, and keeping me shut out from the world. When a full time graduate class schedule and a job is added to the load, it can be near impossible to feel motivated. Some people have that and more.

Whether you're a student, a parent, a business owner, suffer from depression, or don't know what you're doing with your life, I've compiled a few tips that can help you stay motivated through it all.

Hello fellow students!

If you're a student heading into the Fall 2019 semester, the nerves surely have started to accumulate. By now, you've read through your syllabi, if it was available to you. You've purchased your textbooks and supplies. You've read your required readings. You've made sure your new supplies are in place and ready for the first day of class. You've attended orientation and met your future classmates. You are equal parts excited and anxious. For me, I have experienced all those things.

With the onslaught of due dates, projects, exams, and papers from your syllabi, it'll surely drive you crazy. To mitigate the stress that comes with all that pressure, I try to stay very organized. How will you be staying organized this semester? Here are some of my favorite ways!

The Bullet Journal: Jul-Dec 2019

The month of July marks a halfway point in the year. Here we are, already  halfway through 2019. How crazy is that? If feels as though the year has begun just yesterday!

As you know, one of the ways I stay organized in my busy life is my bullet journal. It is my primary organizational system. I also keep a calendar book and a white board calendar, but these days I use them scarcely.

While June has ended, so has my previous bullet journal. Each journal I create is divided for every six months; this allows me to use as many pages for spreads as I need. I get to start fresh and try out new layouts and themes!

Now, don't get too excited. I didn't pick up too many things this time around. I've been stopping in at Cinder for one thing at a time the last few weeks that I didn't see the point in making a post. But I've got a few things this time that I needed and thought I'd share. Here's what I got:

a stoner review #1 // the airopro vaporizer pen

To prelude, I apologize in the delay of posting new material. During my absence I've been working non-stop, overcome with the flu, perfecting the look of my website, and brainstorming some ideas. As you can see, the vibe greatly differs from last month and we have our own domain!

Over the past two weeks, I got the chance to pick up and try out the AiroPro Vaporizer System by Airo Vapor. I've heard buzz in the cannabis community for a few years about the AiroPro, specifically before it was rebranded and went by the name IndigoPro. A friend of mine recommended it to me recently and I found time to go out to my local dispensary, Cinder, and purchase. Unfortunately, you cannot purchase it online.
